Hartford Court Fog Dance Vineyard Pinot Noir 2015

$62.95

Medium ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Hartford Court Pinot Noir Fog Dance Vineyard gives a full on bombastic black cherry and black raspberry-scented nose with hints of rose hip tea, dark chocolate and lavender with a hint of black pepper. Medium-bodied, the palate is very elegant and fresh with more of a savory/earthy character coming through, supported by fine-grained tannins and finishing on a beautiful stewed tea note. 361 cases were produced. Medium reddish purple in color. Freshly cut mint, black cherry, wet leaves, and tobacco are evident on the nose. It’s medium bodied with voluptuous dark fruit on the palate which borders on sappy but is complimented by some spice and a somewhat savory quality. The above is backed up by a structure of fine grained tannins and a nice balancing acidity with 14.6% alcohol. Élevage in 33% new French oak for 17 months. Should please fans of the big Pinot style championed by Kosta Browne and others. $70.

Fantastic Pinot! Aromas of cherry, tobacco and graphite. Dry, cherry flavors with a nice smooth finish.
