Figgins Estate Red Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2012

$99

The Figgins 2012 Estate Red Wine is flat-out knockout stuff. Layered, gorgeously concentrated, full-bodied, and balanced, this Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated blend gives up sensational notes of cassis, black raspberry toasted bread and sweet spice on the nose. Ultra-pure, elegant and silky, it has the texture to drink nicely today, yet will age effortlessly for two decades or more... This is one of the top Cabernets coming out of Washington and readers should not miss it. eRobertParker.com

Nice blend. Really really smooth now, starting to lose some of the fruit. Still good. Good with spicy food. Revised my rating after this sat out for a few hours. So much better. The pepper on the back palate really developed.

This 2012 is silky smooth and delicious. I’d say 98% as good as hillside select but a lot less expensive .

A very nice balance of tight tannins and fruit. More fruit than I generally like in a cab, but this balance works well. Currant, hint of spice, espresso bean. A perfect "steak" wine.
