Domaine William Fèvre Montée de Tonnerre Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay 2012

$59.99

...this is clearly a great wine in the making and probably the finest example of this vineyard I have ever had the pleasure to taste from the estate. The wine is deep and very, very complex on both the nose and palate, offering up a classic melange of green apple, pear, lime, flinty minerality, white flowers and a dollop of citrus oil. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very, very pure and vibrant, with a great core of fruit, brisk acids, laser-like focus and stunning length and grip on the focused and racy finish. Great juice. John Gilman, A View from the Cellar

My favorite Fevre. Lemon color. Crisp nose of lemon and green apple, with chalk and wet stone. Very mineral palate, great acidity and long finish. Great QPR.

Super acidic upfront but finishes much rounder than expected based on the very light color.

More textured than the light color would suggest. Touch of hay with a round finish.

This is a great Chablis. Lemon and green apple on the nose. Nice and crisp body, with searing acidity and crushed rocks. Long finish. Can't go wrong with this. (Drank on 5/29)
