Domaine Vincent Paris Granit 60 Vieilles Vignes Cornas Syrah 2013

$37.95

Vivid ruby. Mineral-tinged aromas of fresh black and blue fruits, candied flowers and olive, plus a hint of cola in the background. Sweet, tightly focused cassis and blueberry flavors have a refreshingly tangy edge and turn deeper and smokier with air. Impressively concentrated but possesses excellent energy thanks to a bright spine of minerality. Finishes sappy, focused and very long, with sneaky tannins and a lingering violet note. Vinous Media

Sometimes you get more than you pay for. This Syrah jumps out at you. Recommend 2 hours decanting. Perfect for almost any meat dish.

Tight and spicy with some great sense of place. Rocking at twice the price!

Great pairing with the Chez Panisse short rib. Drinking very well already.

Still just a baby, easily needs a decade to come into its own.

Still young, tight and concentrated. Super performer though. Solidly tasty.

Great complexity and tannin. Still a little young and could use a few more years of aging. Excellent wine but surprisingly I actually prefer the Granit 30.

Wonderful nose. Progressive opening. On the lighter side.

IMO much more approachable in its youth than the cuvée from younger vines.

Out of mag, Granite, meat and plum. Great wine with a long life ahead of it. Complex and well balanced.
