Bitter on the finish. A strange "off" note on the nose and palate. Not showing well

Took about 20 minutes to open and as It did the mushrooms gave way to beautiful lush red fruit. A lot of acid and still has time to go. But a beautiful drink.

1999 vintage. At Cabotte in London. On the darker side of medium ruby. Deep concentration of black cherry aromas, manure and earth, stone minerality, savoury spice. Hugely complex. On the palate, wow. Great acidity - fresh - and huge concentration without over extraction. There's a depth to this wine that really hits the mid palate. Great length. Excellent. Drink now until 2026+.
