Domaine Paul Blanck Schlossberg Alsace Grand Cru Riesling 2014

$33.99

The 2014 Riesling Schlossberg has a very deep, rich and mineral, as well as herbal bouquet of ripe Riesling and lemon aromas. Full-bodied, rich and intense on the palate, this is a very elegant, complex and concentrated, stimulatingly piquant and persistent Riesling. It has an explosive and very juicy fruit, with firm yet fine tannins. A great Schlossberg! Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

A wine that divided the class. Some called for it to be outstanding and other just acceptable, I was bang in between. Lillies, orange blossom, white peach, green melon and wet stones. Youthful. Dry with pretty high acid that defines the wine and creates linearity. Slight chalky finish and decent length. Sort of wine I’d get around.
