From vines in Bellevue, the 2018 Morgon wafts from the glass with aromas of red plums, mulberries, smoked meat and spices. Big, bruising Morgon that held up quite nicely over 3 days. Dense, layered and nicely extracted, with ample berry fruit and a floral element. Hard not to like this. I didn’t get any of the reduction that the previous taster notes

Intensely fruity, charming nose. Confirmed on the palate with notes of ripe strawberries, cherries, floral notes of roses and slightly peppery. Little notes of aging, just the fruit well worked with little addition of sulfur. Beautiful youthful ardor that will certainly age wonderfully. Nez charmeur intensément fruité. Confirmé en bouche avec des notes de fraise, cerise bien mûres, des notes florales de roses et légèrement poivrées. Peu de note d’élevage, juste le fruit bien travaillé avec peu d’ajout de souffre. Belle fougue de jeunesse qui vieillira certainement à merveille.
