Still pretty young. Great intensity and depth. Flavor are still primary - this baby got a long way to go.

Here both wines showing well with their lovely fruits & spice. The RB having more stuffing while the RSV silkier with finer tannins. I slightly preferred the RSV

Why do I love the 02 Burgs so much! Beautiful dark cherry, plum fruits, baking spices, rust, iron & tobacco leaf. Richer & denser than than the 06.

Stemmy Moore. Kind of an appropriately blurry picture. This cleaned up over time but was more tart, light and less precise than the Meo, methinks.

2002 DRC Richebourg Burgundy. Drank in celebration of McC during lunch at Ivy w K. Beautifully brick color and wonderfully complex wine. Lots of acid and tannins on the wine and it changed quite a bit through the meal. We decanted over an hour before drinking but would have left it longer if we had the time. Lovely and such an amazing treat.
