Domaine Antonin Guyon Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2012

The deep and complex nose delivers a constellation of red and black cherries, a touch of plum, cocoa, grilled meats, a beautifully refined base of soil tones, woodsmoke and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure on the attack, with a sappy core of fruit, a fine sense of reserve, excellent focus and balance and a very long, tangy finish that closes with fine-grained tannins and superb grip. This is one of the best bottlings of Charmes-Chambertin in the entire Côte d’Or and one of the best values out there for a very high quality grand cru from Gevrey! (Drink between 2022-2060).
