Very handy grilled almonds and savory nutty aromas here. This has a wealth of lemon citrus, chalky notes, lemon pith, gentle white pepper and immense freshness - really striking. Frosty likes the 07 Delamotte Blanc de Blancs. He prefers it served very cold. Bruised golden & red apple, bruised pear, golden raisin, pineapple, citrus, citrus blossoms, yellow lilies, fig quince, toast, very light chalk & mineral presence, fine bubbles, high acidity and a nice long finish.

Delamotte is the sister house to Salon. The Delamotte generally gets the grapes that do not go into Salon. The 07 while tasty is a little simple. Nice green apple, lemon/lime zest, grapefruit, grapefruit pit, touch oily, citrus blossoms, nice minerality & acidity but missing the level of chalk you'd expect. Honey & butterscotch candy comes out as it sits in the glass awhile.
