This 2018 Cigar OV Zinfanel manages to convey structure and restraint despite the lush character of Lodi fruit. It's posh ad succulent, its dark-berry flavors carrying plenty of sugary depth, yet guided by mild tannins and judicious oak. It's an elegant zin for fennel-rubbed pork loin. Wine & Spirits Magazine

A little on the sweet side, fruity with a smokey aftertaste.

Color of grayish purple. Nose of cocoa, tobacco leaves, dried strawberry, cherry, strength of alcohol, a bit minty, and more cherry jam. Taste of cherry jam, good acidity, marginal tannins, medicinal strawberry syrup, bourbon barrel note, subtle rind, and ripe sweet grapes. Aftertaste shows some strength of alcohol and bitter rind to balance out sweetness. Not bad at all.

Smooth and approachable. Dry and active but not domineering.
