The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is striking. Powerful and dense in the glass, with utterly mesmerizing balance, the 2013 hits all the right spots. Graphite, smoke, grilled herbs, black cherries and incense form a tapestry of aromas and flavors that simply dazzles...it is a real head-turner. The combination of intense tannin and opulent fruit is classic 2013. Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

Great aromatic display with dark cherries, plums, cassis, graphite, violets, smoke, incense, spices, subtle vanilla. Nice crunchy texture on the palate with sweet dark fruit flavors on entry, fresh midpalate with medium acidity, licorice, and dark chocolate notes. Long finish dominated by youthful tannins with baking spices, small hint of mint & herbs, and creamy vanilla.

Second of the blind reds for this quarter's S&E Wine Club. Theme was Chardonnays for white wine and red wines you can purchase at grocery stores. Dark ruby with a purplish hue. Sweet spices on the nose with some black fruits, yet restrained. Heavy tannins (7/10) and medium bodied. Lots of oak on the palate with light dark fruits. Dry and long finish. Drink till 2028. Definite potential but needs some more time to integrate and develop. (88+)

A brooding style, with serious fruit, concentration of fruit, tannins and acidity to age, but lacking freshness. Good buy.

Awesome 2013 Cab with loads of black fruit along with heavy tannin structure upon opening. Let it sit a good hour. Wow could not believe this wine could get to be this Great. It's a must try. Purchased at my place WineWorks Marlton. CB 94+

Bottle variation? Time resting? Not sure but this was far and above previously tasted. This is better than many much higher priced bottles of Napa cab.

92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, and 2% Petite Sirah Inky purple. Fresh, young and compact rim. Nice Napa Cabernet perfume. Crushed blackberry, chocolate, lavender, anise, and cedar wood. The palate also expresses a lot of No-Cal characters. Blueberry, anise, vanilla seeds. Med full bodied, medium acidity, dry. Finish quite nicely on cedar, toasted oak, mocha, pepper. Good entry level Napa that will stand up for 10-15 years if need be. 88

This aroma was felt in tasting French wine. Taste is also. Elegant style. Spicy. Rich tannin. But, I knew later that it wasn't decanted enough. One hour later, we can feel US wine like juicy taste. Next day, more juicy with clear vanilla flavor. @5378, AdW, 170401-170527
