...More lucid than Latour. Fragrant elegant nose with a touch of mint. Very feminine palate and quite forward. Rich red berried fruits. Well-integrated and more silky than Latour. Dash of pepper on finish. Excellent wine...Good acidity. Quite rich... Neal Martin (eRobertParker.com)

What Matty Wicksteed said. A great amount of energy left for this one to work with.

Rather one note. Enjoyable but this is fairly watered down Mouton. Makes sense for 94

Nice clean bottle of wine. Fruit is pretty much dead. Not my favorite.

An old friend of mine having been the first bottle of 1st growth claret that I sampled , sometime during 1999. Decent colour lightening at the edges but no more than that. Classic cedar and black currant , touch of truffle perhaps. Not hugely complex though automatically interesting at least. The fruit is quite cool and restrained though there is balance to the tannins and acidity. Decent length too. Overall and enjoyable wine though lacking the complexity and depth of a better vintage
