Château Lynch-Bages Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2004

$159

...Succulent texture with ripe black cherries, Doris plum and bilberry. Certainly this is a well balanced Pauillac packed full of ripe tannins with a crisp poised finish of black plum, cedar and cassis...a very confident, expressive wine for the vintage. Drink 2011-2020+... eRobertParker.com (Neal Martin)

Quelle bouche ! Comme quoi Bordeaux, même sur un millésime compliqué...

Violet, vanilla, black currant and very cab franc like. Dry, dark fruit, tar and silky but bracing tannins. Vanilla and pencil lead notes, fruit developed in glass.

Great fruit on the nose. Typical lynch on the nose with leather and tobacco. Full bodied and beautiful.

What a tremendous bottle ! Very dark rubi color, with no signs of aging. Nose of black currant, some secondary aromas and a hint of flowers. Very polished tannins, in a medium length mouth and the traditional rich and round Pauillac mouthfeel. Its incredibly good to drink right now, but will for sure hold at the very least another 10 years or so. Very highly recommended.

Small vintage great wine type of story here. Really good length and balance on a very typical Lynch Bages. Wont make old bones but its great wine for the price. Instant gratification.

Cassis, tobacco, silky tannins. Needs time to open up so give it a good decant and then drink with food (a big rib eye, perhaps?)
