Château Lynch-Bages Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2003

9.154 ratings on Delectable
$149

This sexy, evolved, dense ruby/purple-tinged 2003 reveals notes of smoke, herbs, black currant jam, licorice and graphite. Full-bodied, opulent and flamboyant, it is another example of a stunning 2003 northern Medoc that can be drunk now or cellared for 10-15 more years... Robert Parker

2003 shows the ripeness but has great structure still has 8-10 years of life. Big tannins but fruit to manage.

(2003 vintage) Very smooth and elegant with excellent harmony of gaminess, griotte cherry, menthol, tobacco, and earth. Smooth yet earthy, wonderfully proportioned. The meatiness complemented the beef tenderloin, while the fruit both enhanced and was brought out by the slight sweetness of the au jus.
