Château Lynch-Bages Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 1986

9.365 ratings on Delectable
$199

Tasted several time: a quintessential Pauillac 86. Last tasted at the Lynch Bages vertical in October 2006. A very deep garnet core. A typical Pauillac nose with cedar, pencil lead, baked cherry and violets. The palate is more medium than full-bodied, quite sweet... Neal Martin (eRobertParker.com)

typical '86 with power, but ever so slightly over-mature (questionable cork & storage)

Classic lunch box, silky whole milk mouthfeel, mostly secondary but just a hint of dark brooding fruit
