Château les Charmes-Godard Bordeaux Blanc 2016

The 2016 Les Charmes-Godard, Nicolas Thienpont's Sémillon-based white, is fabulous. Soft, creamy and inviting, the 2016 has so much to offer. Orchard fruit, chamomile, pastry and dried flowers all grace this exquisite, super-expressive white. Vinification and aging in 500-liter barrels adds texture and softens some of the contours. Once again, Charmes-Godard is one of the most distinctive whites in all of Bordeaux. In 2016 the blend is 50% Sémillon, 30% Sauvignon Gris and 20% Sauvignon Blanc. Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media
