...this has a tremendous core of crushed plum, linzer torte and blackberry confiture waiting in reserve. Ample singed cedar and mesquite, warm paving stone and black tea notes lurk in the background and glide through the finish. Features serious grip, but wonderful integration. Should cruise in the cellar. Wine Spectator

Super, soft as velvet! Blackberries and some orange, violets and mix of spicy!

Part of our 2007 Tablas/Beaucastel head to head. Gorgeous nose. Blood, animal, plum. A bit chunky and disjointed in the mouth though very smooth with good flavors that matched the nose. Not my favorite that day though others loved it.

Gonna have to assign an situational perfect score here... can't beat brown-bagged Beaucastel byo at the beef noodle place in Tin Hau. A surprisingly strong pairing with beef tripe, brisket, curry and boiled radishes with spicy sauce. #taileebeefsoupbottles

Held its own in a blind tasting of top tier 2007 CDPs. I ranked 4th and group ranked 6th.

Beautiful wine, licorice and plum flavors... Can't wait to have my other bottle in a few years!

Ripe aromas but the lovely herbaceous notes of Lavender Thyme and Garrigue in general. Full bodied with Mourvèdre Grenache and at least 3 or4 more of the permitted 13 varieties. Love the district of CDP and Beaucastel would be one of my favourite producers. A gorgeous opulent wine by any measure. Next in a year or so
