Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2010

$49.95

The outstanding 2010 Brunello di Montalcino gives you everything you want to see in a great wine, a great Tuscan wine. This monumental expression of Sangiovese delivers top-notch intensity with seamless integration of aromas. They span from dark fruit and Morello cherry to chocolate, spice, licorice, balsam herb and rosemary sprig. The energy and vitality of the vintage is locked perfectly within. This Brunello exhibits especially soft, silky tannins with long persistence and momentum. There is nothing out of place and the price tag is certainly not exaggerated for this level of excellence. eRobertParker.com

Not as balanced as I would like... fruit forward but lacking acid I typically expect from Brunello l. Enjoyable wine, but wouldn't peg it as Brunello

Leaner and still powerful wine by its acids and tannins albeit not really showing yet what it should be. Kind of a adolescent shy stage maybe for 2010.

10' Casanova DI Neri Bruello Montalcino Sangiovese. Delicious bottle of wine for a late lunch. Could use a few more years in bottle. We still had no problems finishing it. The group wanted me to purchase the 10. I wonder if I should of purchased the 2007 for 4 euros more

Sour fruit. Mossy tannins. Needs a few more years to balance out but should be a star #coravin #brunello

On first opening appeared over the hill, with dark fruit and some chocolate; but lacked complexity and depth. Sat 24 hrs room temp no air, retasted= much better! More open. Prune nose, tangy fruit in the mouth, noticeable tannins, some dark complexity.

2010 vintage - very solid Brunello, one of the better ones I’ve had. Did not compare to some of the 2006 or 2007 vintages - not quite as complex, did not have as much of the depth and richness, but really still one of the better wines around in this vintage. Good earth notes and acidic fruits, freshness and light floral scents at the front and In the nose. Drank well with grilled red meat. A very good wine.
