Giacosa’s 2004 Barolo Falletto is so compelling it will be hard not to drink it in its youth. This gorgeous Barolo reveals a deeply structured frame layered with sweet dark fruit, mint, spice and pine. At once delicate and powerful, it is a beautifully finessed wine that is sure to provide much pleasure. A recent bottle of the 1982 is a testament to the virtues of this great site as interpreted by Bruno Giacosa. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2024. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Beautiful, expressive nose. Cherries and roses, drinking well

At first taste it was very backward but after 2 hours of decanting it really opened up. Dark fruit with hints of menthol/ tar with earth tones but not tannic. Very complex wine that evolved in the glass. Real joy to drink.

What a bottle. It evolved over the 2-3 hours it lasted and if I had my way it would have lasted 30 minutes! Opened with more leather tones then a more nutty flavor with light fruit throughout. Very silky but hard to go wrong with giacosa. Easily last another 10-15 years. Great bottle!
