Bedrock Wine Co. Esola Vineyard Zinfandel 2017

$39.99

Super-ripe dark cherry, plum, chocolate, leather, menthol and licorice all flesh out in the 2017 Zinfandel Esola Vineyard. Dense, pliant and inviting, the wine impresses with its exceptional balance and pure class. Zinfandel planted on St. George rootstock on this site with red clay over decomposed granite soils yields a wine of real distinction. The Esola was aged entirely in 600-gallon barrels, which seems to allow the fruit to be super-expressive. Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

Zin and ribs last night and this wine paired perfectly - intense powerful with some extraction evident but when paired with finger sucking Rufus Teague sauce ribs - bam and fireworks - yummy and smiles all around - this wine could last a few years but why for it is so ready NOW

Purple red, moderately extracted pigment. Floral, red fruit and prune notes in nose. Cherry, blackberry flavors, warm, rich.

One of the best Zins I’ve had. Ripe but lithe and mineral with good acid. Very, very tasty.

Badly corked. Wet newspaper and wet dog. Recently multiple bottles of Bedrock with faults. Weird.
