The 2004 Barolo Cerequio has been nothing short of profound on the four previous occasions I have tasted it and it is equally superb now that it is in bottle. It flows from the glass with a beautiful, pure expression of roses, flowers, sweet spices and ripe red fruit. This richly-textured, sumptuous Barolo literally shimmers with fruit from start to finish. The glorious, complete 2004 Cerequio is a superb effort from the inspired Roberto Voerzio. Beautiful. You can taste when a winemaker steps back and allows the fruit to speak for itself. Pure core. Cherry, floral, seemless structure, and perfect acidity. Crazy long finish. Tasted after an hour decant. This wine is great now but I can only imagine how it will evolve ten years from now. Drink or hold or mail to me.

Drank blind. Very rich and robust dark cherry fruit. Very fruit forward. Opened up nicely as night went on. I think that AG over rated this wine and I definitely feel like I over paid. Don't get me wrong. It was delicious. But too expensive
