...The selection from the oldest (about 100 years old) Sauvignon Blanc grapes of the estate (on calcareous marl soils) is the purest and most precise expression of the kimmeridgian terroir because - and this is my finding of the second day - there is nothing more on the nose than ripe fruit aromas (nectarines again) based on and powdered with rock flour... Its length, complexity and tension, though, remains unrivaled. This is a really powerful and expressive Sancerre but does neither lack purity nor finesse, thrill nor aging potential. I would definitely buy it to give it 8-10 years although it is already accessible. eRobertParker.com

Thats real pretty. Sancerre with some flesh. Now don't get me wrong. I am not tawlkin CA Sauv Blanc flesh cause the bite is there. That's a great intro to Sancerre if you are looking to show someone around.

Clean crisp acid well balanced with round fruit. Exceptionally long pleasant linger gradually rounds out, exposing more woody overtones of -- ?faint cedar? Really great for sipping, appetizers... Maybe light foods? Love it!!! 9/10

What can I say about this beautiful Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre, other than vines are 40-87 years and aged on lees for 10-14 months 60% oak casks, and 20% barrels. How about having the complexity and finish of a Château Smith Haut Lafitte without the need for Sémillon. Wow!
