Albert Mann Hengst Alsace Grand Cru AOC Pinot Gris 2013

Vivid yellow. The powerful nose of ripe apple, pear nectar, clover honey and sweet spices also hints at truffle. Dense, pure ripe pear and strawberry flavors are supported by the outstanding acid/sugar balance. The rising finish is long and penetrating. By far Mann's best Pinot Gris this year and, in my view, his best wine of the year. Ian D'Agata, Vinous Media

Big, rich tangerine, over-ripe grapefruit, subtle spice, honey and just a hint of minerality. Beautifully crafted wine that drinks well with some air, but will definitely age gracefully.
