Structured yet elegant, this blend of Sangiovese, Sagrantino and a drop of Cabernet Sauvignon delivers a medley of sensations including crushed blue flower, black cherry, blackberry, ground white pepper, savory herb, graphite and cinnamon-spice. Lovely Sangiovese blend had in anticipation of our trip to Italy. Dried cherry and cranberry on the nose with subtle tobacco scent, with a much more complex pallet. Old world taste, medium body, dried cherry, licorice and tobacco with bright acidity.

One if my favourites out of Bevagna. Sour cherries and red earth; think meaty. Keeping the Tuscan boys on their toes! €12.

Medium plus bodied, forest floor and dried red fruit nose, medium plus tannins and acid. It wants food, but went well with ping-pong.
