1986 vintage with Andy and Jackson. What an absolute treat. Very tight at first. Allowed to rest for two hours and then the beauty showed herself.

My god if this is what made Napa great then no wonder. I didn't know what this was (poured by John dodd). Cranberries and rich red fruit. A little spice (clove) and some sage notes at the end. It's finish has the hallmarks of a beautifully aged wine. The nose is almost like a great Rioja that's aged. (That's what I blind tasted guessed it.) it was a beautiful experience. Thankfully there's a little left in my glass.
