This is a tasty and easy drinking Champagne. Dark yellow in color with a golden hue. Medium plus in body with high acidity, and medium sized bubbles. Dry on the palate with nice complexity. Showing citrus, green apples, light grapefruits, herbs, yeast, brioche, sea salt, spices, vegetables and minerals. Nice finish with limes and bitter herbs. Tangy and good by itself or with food. Really enjoyed the nose, even more than the palate. Better after 30 minutes of airtime. Wine Enthusiasts 90 points. Wine Spectator 90 points. A great choice to pair with fresh seafood. 12% alcohol by volume. 90 points. $43.

Tonight the wine I have opened is the Moët & Chandon 150th Anniversary Imperial Brut Champagne. The blend is 30-40% Pinot Noir, 30-40% Pinot Munier and 20-30% Chardonnay. On the nose there is buttery brioche, creme brulee, lemon curd, yeasty bread, hazelnut and apricot. On the palate there is creamy lemon curd, tropical fruits, pineapple, brioche, hazelnut and a minerality. This wine is medium bodied with medium + to high acidity that leads into a long toasty citrus finish. Today is the day we spring ahead and so we all lose an hour of our weekend. On the nose there is musty pear, strawberry, bruised apple, lemon, toast and yeasty bread On the palate there is creamy lemon curd, citrus notes, lemon, brioche, toast and limestone. This wine is medium bodied with a creamy mouth feel. There is an abundant creamy mousse with medium + acidity that leads to a medium to long fresh finish. A nice ending to a long day doing chores around the house. Continue being safe and have a great rest of your weekend. Nostrovia!
