Nice aromatics, crisp easy drinking. I think I get the ever most slight whisper of oak.

Founded in 1976, Duckhorn Vineyards has been crafting varietals from the Napa Valley for over 30 years. A blend of 79% Sauvignon Blanc and 21% Semillon with nice fragrant aromas of tropical fruit and citrus notes. The palate shows melon and grapefruit with lime zest. Smooth savory frame, medium finish drinks well now.

The '15 has the same familiar nose. The brilliantly gorgeous, & inviting nose. Papaya leads but the California standard of melon is right behind it. Toss in fresh Kaffir lime, Meyer lemon, juicy grapefruit & the nose is complete. Palate is Sémillon driven, but perhaps too much. The creaminess, weight, and silk complexity is ever present, but doesn't lead up to the hype the nose makes you anticipate. The palate is currently quite clunky.

Pear and apple intertwined, fruit forward nose, fragrant, tastes dull and flat. Alcoholic green finish. Did this go bad from improper storage? Much better when chilled, collected.
