Smelled like vinegar, clam juice, and wet dog at open. Almost enough so to stop me from even tasting it. But it's surprisingly fruity at first sip before balancing off with a nice acidity and earthiness. Medium tannins, long finish. Hard to get past that first few sniffs, but it makes its mark and softens up with time.
