2000 Mouton was the wine of the night for many including me, 2005 was no slouch and showed very good promise. Dense, polished and powerful in every aspect, the glass and palate were overflowing in sensory overload of heavenly dark red fruits, cherry, cassis and currants galore, truffle scents, smoke and toasty sweet oak highlights are perfectly integrated. Bonkers expressive and layered, with a finish that lasts gosh knows how long. #pauillac #bordeaux #wine
