What a delightful surprise. Medium high acid, soft tannins, very dry. Lots of dried fruit, toasted oak, a little phenolic backend. Nice!

Enjoyable Bordeaux blend, with excellent flavors upfront followed by excessive acidity, almost like battery acid, in the finish. This Virginia wine compares well to a $25 Bordeaux. The fact that it cost me $57 puts a damper in my enthusiasm for this wine.

1/2020. I have only tasted a few reds and whites from Vineyard. This was the big wine at the dinner prepared by Hall’s Chop House. Great meal and paired well with the wines. Just my opinion, 2015 was a good year for wine from many regions.

Great to drink right away and over an evening. Holds to good and on its own. Complex but softens over 20 minutes and has a great feel. Holds itself well to an expensive California blend.

Hold up well and complex. Can drink immediately but mellows well and is very good on its own and with food. Comparable to a very good California blend.

This isn’t your average Virginia wine. In the contrary, this is some seriously solid shit. Lush and creamy full of currant, dark chocolate, and tobacco. A long, flinty finish. Better night 2.

Non acidic. Very smooth. Lots of bright flavor, but no aftertaste. Great for sharing with friends, but it’s hard to share such a good wine. Way to go, Virginia.
