Not the champagne I had in mind for tonight, but sometimes circumstances play their part. This is pleasant enough. It will go well with my almond tart later. The mouthfeel shows nice mousse, somewhat lively acidity, bruised golden/red/green apple to apple sauce, bruised pear, white citrus blend-grapefruit w/ pith leading, quince, touch of brown sugar, some yeastiness, baguette crust, graham cracker, volcanic minerals w/ clay, white spice, caramel notes, vanillin, sea spray, grippy, grainy chalk, sea fossils-oysters, limestone marl, withering lilies, spring flowers, nice acidity and a well balanced, good length, elegant finish that lasts nearly 90 second and lands on mid intensity minerals and spice. Photos of; the champagne house of Veuve Clicqoit and the widow herself. You see her under the metal gage and plated over the cork. #DSLounge

Not as bad as I remember it. It’s been a while though. Slightly, bruised pear & red & green apple, lime zest, lemon pulp, some ginger white spice w/ a touch of heat, limestone mixed in volcanic minerals, crisp chalkiness, sea spray, yeasty bread dough, yellow & white spring flowers, lively acidity and a balanced & nicely polished elegant finish that last 45 seconds and lands on volcanics. Emirates SFO.

Champagne House is judged on the quality of its Brut NV. The predominance of Pinot Noir provides structure, typically of a Clicquot, Pinot Meunier adds roundness & Chardonnay adds elegance. Light golden color, complex aromas of stone & citrus fruit & creamy biscuit. Tiny bubbles, light mousse, apple & orange citrus flavors with raspberry notes, good balance. The finish has notes of toasty nutty yeast, clean on the medium+ ending. Ok for a mass produced bubbly!

No notes. Friend’s 47th bday celebration. Memorable for the pretty fruit: custard, star fruits, & green grapes.
