Brown sugar, stewed prunes and sour cherries, alcohol has integrated well, this is melange of smooth velvety waves of textures ... not just flavors

Balanced and delicious. Cork was mess though.

1994. Awesome on a winter night. Beautiful Persian Red color. Aroma of sweet prune, alcohol and a bit of aged sweet tobacco. Very clean mouthfeel, sweet on the tongue and more vibrant on the finish. Awesome balance. Stewed strawberries and melted tootsie rolls

1994, well stored. Probably slightly past peak. Prunes, sour brandy note, a nutty quality too. Sweet on palate though. Classy port, now with slightly less punch than it likely once had. Pleasure to drink it, especially decanted and given 30 minutes. In Maine; Ed's last significant bottle.
