Loads of verve. Driven by lemon zest, salinity, mint and dried rocks. Just beautiful tension that elongates the wine to a long, lingering finish. Second-favorite vineyard for Chardonnay in California that encapsulates the very best the state has to offer. Top class. Paired with lemony shrimp scampi

The 2020 Chardonnay Trout Gulch Vineyard is laser focused and vibrant, as it is in its best years. Crushed rocks, mint, white pepper, lemon peel and white flowers all race out of the glass. Bright saline notes extend the finish effortlessly. The 2020 is very nicely done, and also a great example of this Santa Cruz Mountains site. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, January 2022)

Citrus, mineral and acid driven. Quite tasty.

Crisp green apples nose. Dry, green and tropical fruit. Pretty good floral aroma, nice stone. Just missing some little something to be excellent but very well put together and balanced.
