The 2023 Chardonnay (Santa Barbara County) is a total stunner. Bright, aromatic and vibrant, the 2023 is lights-out, brilliantly marrying fruit intensity and energy. Apricot, mint and white flowers abound. This is a stunning wine for the price and for its production of around 40,000 cases. $23.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, September 2024)

A sunbeam in a glass — peach, citrus, and a whisper of mango drift over crisp minerality, all tied together with the faintest touch of oak. It’s so balanced and layered I almost feel unworthy of drinking it. This wine carries itself like someone twice its age: wise, graceful, and self-assured, yet still somehow able to charm and energize a teenager, hence why i seem to like it. I give myself another 10 years before i can fully appreciate this.

Green apple, lemon fruit, more tart, mineral driven from the diatomaceous soil (powdery fossils) gives crushed rocks on the palate
