82 at its finest. Perhaps the best vintage of Larose.

From a good looking bottle with a great fill. Decanted for 3.5 hours. Deep tawny color, suggests a little age. Great old Bordeaux nose. Notes of black cherry, sliced plums, old cedar desk, Cuban cigar, some mocha and some leather saddle. Really nice in the mouth. Has a nice sweetness to it. Lasting finish. Still at peak and bottles like this are staying there for a while.

Scarlet tawny and opaque. Great, complex nose offering notes of black cherries, herbal tobacco leaf and freshly cut Cuban cigar, cedar wood and a hint of menthol. Nicely balanced in the mouth. Gave it 5 hours of air in a decanter and patience was rewarded with a great aged Bordeaux experience. Great stuff. Paired with a 92 Dominus it was interesting to find how much these wines resemble each other.

A little cloudy and muted with a dry and brittle cork I don’t think it was stored perfectly .
