The 2016 Felsina Rancia is all class. Rich, red fruit, tension and fairly austere tannins. Not as giving as it might be. Glad I used Coravin on this one. I'll check in on it in a while!

Silky/velvety, rich Sangiovese w/ less oak than most vintages of this cuvée. Pure raspberry fruit & some dark chocolate. A very well balanced Chianti with many layers. Needs at least one hour to open up. Tasted on 1/1/20

Translucent ruby. So compact, taut and powerful. Electric. Subtle floral perfume with red fruit, tobacco, leather and black fruit. Lots of stuffing on the palate, but the nose is pretty closed. Wouldn’t touch this for five years.
