Hard and edgy. Very grippy. Time should be kind. Some nice dried cherry fruit. Cloves and licorice

Pale Garnet, the nose is quite restrained, showing a bit of wood, earth and some dried red and black cherries as well as a leafy element. The palate confirms the first impression that this Barolo, albeit crafted from an excellent producer, was made from a relatively difficult vintage. The tannins show marked astringent tightness, and dare I say there's an unripe element to them. Medium bodied, the finish is fairly abrupt and uninspiring. Drink now until 2029.
