Deep violet. Dark berries, cherry pit and a hint of licorice on the spice-accented nose. Chewy and energetic on the palate, offering bitter cherry, cassis and cracked pepper flavors and a touch of mintiness. Finishes long and taut, with building spiciness and gently chewy tannins that come in slowly. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, December 2020)
