Smells and tastes like watermelon juice. A little salty minerality. Not on the same par as the rouge but clean and refreshing.

Vivid orange-pink. Sharply focused strawberry, rhubarb and orange zest scents, along with building floral and mineral nuances. Taut and focused on the palate, offering nervy red berry, citrus fruit and lavender flavors that are braced by a spine of juicy acidity. The mineral and citrus notes repeat strongly on the persistent finish, which leaves a hint of spiciness behind. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, June 2020)

I’ve been drinking California reds for a few weeks - plummy, dark, fruity. This is different and I like it. It’s deep, earthy, more minerally and a bit brighter than the California wines, but still bring the red fruit. Maybe some leather. Color is amazing. The smell reminds me of morning next to the vines.
