Deep garnet red. A bit vegetal on the backend of the nose, dried cherries, black currants, damp leaves and tobacco. Medium plus tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Very dry on the palate with lots of cherries, earthiness, and baking spices. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2030.

En magnum. Decanted for six hours. Tremendous now but will benefit from another 15-20 years.

2009 vintage. Classic, medium Margaux bod, elegant and full nose. More structure than a degree in chemistry paired with gradually unfolding beauty. Would prefer in 3-5 years but if you encounter in the retail/resto wilds, have at it. Currently tasting like 8-10 more años would be top of the pops but checking off most of the boxes right now.
