The 2020 Etna Rosso is remarkably pretty, finessed and floral in style, with dusty rose and licorice-tinged cherry berry fruits forming its bouquet. It’s silky in texture with a pure mix of red fruits and subtle inner spice, all nicely motivated by brisk acidity. It’s silky-smooth and round yet spry, washing nuances of ripe pear and nectarine across a core of saturating saline-minerality. There’s simply so much going on here for a Rosato as the 2020 punches well above its class, finishing incredibly long yet juicy, and fizzling out to hints of sour citrus and cheek-puckering green apple.
