An Etna Rosso DOC, blend of 95% Nerello Mascalese and 5% Nerello Cappuccio, deep Ruby, purple edges, with aromas of ripe fed fruits, herbs and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of cherry, strawberry and red plum with pepper spice and herbs with a mineral tone. Medium+ finish, fine tannins, ending with fruit and a smoky earthy character. Nice value!

NOSE: barely there…tiniest whiff of red fruit….dried cherry? TASTE: light bodied, dried cherry and currant, a little clay … nice acidity …. elegant, but a little simple. I like it - but no way worth what I paid. 89.
