In the JW lineup, this is now my entry point. I've always found the Red a little harsh (I enjoy everything neat), and maybe it's my advancing age, while I used to really like Black but now think it's too smokey. Palate evolution I guess... Mellow peat, perfect barrel char, light honey, distant campfire smoke. Perfect just by itself and a cold whiskey stone.

Smoother than the standard black label. When I ran it through my Vinturi Spirit aerator, it was even smoother than just taking it out of the bottle straight into a glass. Probably on part with many single malt scotch available.
