Domaine du Gour de Chaulé Cuvée Tradition Gigondas Grenache 2016
Sipping Fine Wine
Deep Ruby color with aromas of red and black fruits with notes of floral, spice and herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry, raspberry and figs with licorice and herb spice. Fine tannins, nice texture, long finish ending with fruit and mineral spice character. Nice!

Potent aromas of ripe dark fruit- purple raspberry, cherry, lavender, some cinnamon, and garrigue. Lighter and brighter on the palate than expected. Finishes sweet with bitter black tannins. Impressive balance and great value.

What an incredible bouquet on the 2016 Gour de Chaulé Gigondas, opening with violet florals and peppery spice, as crushed black raspberry, blueberry, sweet minerals, lavender and smoky minerals fill the senses. It washes across the palate with mineral-tinged black berry and spice, as a mix of minerals and youthful tannin, which perfectly frame the experience emerge along with purple florals which echo throughout. The finish is long, structured and perfectly balanced, resonating on spicy black fruits and violet flowers over a core of juicy acids. The 2016 Gour de Chaulé Gigondas may be the best rendition of this wine that I’ve ever experienced.
