Sipping Fine Wine

With New Years around the corner, grab something nice. Made with 100% Pinot Noir from 10 different "crus " (or villages), from the North & South areas of the Montagne de Reims, as well as the famous Cote de Bouzy. Deep salmon pink with full aromas of berry fruit and citrus mineral notes wrapped in a delicate fine mousse. On the palate flavors of raspberry and strawberry, bright acidity with spicy notes and orange zest. Long silky finish, ending with earthy yeasty mineral character.

My second go at this wine. This round seems to have a bit more body and verve. A bit more Pinot esc than sparkling. Not that it’s heavy, it just feels like they gave it more backbone of fruit and maybe more skin contact. Tiny silky bubbles and raspberry/strawberry fruit abound with great acid.

"Odedi"

This is a delicious Rosé Champagne. Light salmon in color with a peachy hue. Medium bodied with medium plus acidity. Nicely balanced with medium sized bubbles. Showing raspberries, limes, citrus, green apples, grapefruits, herbs, yeast, spices, sea salt and minerals. Needs 45 minutes to air properly, bring in more complexity, and smooth out the bubbles. Rich and full of delicious red fruits, with a smooth mouthfeel. Not bitter nor tart, which I just loved. Tangy and interesting. Easy drinking and good by itself, especially once it opens up, and good with food too. A good choice to drink on the boat, with some beautiful weather. 100% Pinot Noir grapes. 12% alcohol by volume. 92 points. $75.
