The 2016 Next of Kyn is a rich, heady wine. Implosive and deep, the 2016 comes across as a wine that is still finding its balance in bottle. Time in the glass brings out swaths of dark fruit, grilled herbs, espresso and licorice. Readers need to be patient with the 2016, as it is going through an awkward stage today. Taste - dark fruit and currants stand out covering the palate with its rich creamy and luscious feel., with spice, mocha, pencil lead and a long dry mineral, dark chocolate cherry finish

1 hour decant(decent cloudy sediment). A striking inky dark garnet color. On the nose: intoxicating notes of dark fruit, blueberry, menthol, balsamic, loamy soil, herbs and chocolate. Taste: creamy, concentrated mouthcoating wine with blackberry, currants, espresso, licorice, mineral, and a earthy dark chocolate cherry dry long finish. YUM!
