"Odedi" 
This 8 year old Sangiovese from Tuscany is drinking at its peak now. Medium plus in body with medium acidity. Dry on the palate with nice complexity. Showing red and black fruits with light wood, earth, herbs, spices, tobacco leaf, dark chocolates and peppercorn. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Good right out of the bottle and better after an hour. I've had this vintage 5 years ago and it is drinking better now, and will continue to do so in the next few years. Paired nicely with Italian meatballs in red sauce. A blend of 90% Sangiovese with 10% Merlot. 14% alcohol by volume. 90 points.

Sipping Fine Wine
Tried again! In the heart of the Chianti lies Estate of Sette Ponti, 15 miles northwest of the city of Arezzo, past village of San Giustino Valdarno. Has 10% Merlot, aged in French Allier barriques, deep Ruby with red fruit aromas and floral notes. On the palate blackberry, plum and cherry flavors with blossom notes, spice and fine integrated tannins. Good balance, long finish ending with some oak and mineral tones. Nice! Will age a bit! Tasting well now!

Very dry on the palate with medium plus acidity. Medium finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries. This 3 year old will be better in 5 years. A good food wine that I paired with cheeses and dried meats. 14% alcohol by volume. 88 points.
