The 2006 Clos du Papillon is made in a relaxed and rounded style with a creamy, silken texture with tarte tatin-like flavors of apple, pastry and honey. Initially the wine was like a teenager, but over time, it has taken on additional complexity. It might not be the most powerful of vintages, but it provides a lot of pleasure and increasing nuance. It's drinking well now and offers savory characters, but thanks to its taut line of acidity, it isn't going anywhere. (Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, September 2022)

I sacrilegiously had this chambré. Sorry. HOWEVER, it was fantastic, the acidity was still on show (I'd have been open to more) and pears had become almonds honey and roses. Long finish, complex, dry, satisfying. Definitely stick it in the garage for an hour or two first.
