Opaque ruby. Powerful aromas of black and blue fruit preserves, vanilla, licorice and violet, along with a smoky mineral quality. Fleshy and broad on the palate, offering pliant blueberry, cherry liqueur and mocha flavors and building hints of oak spices and candied flowers. Pronounced aromas of ripe black fruits upon opening, followed by dark cocoa, grilled herbs, and purple florals. Hint if rusted iron as well. Rich palate yet so refined. Alcohol subsided a bit since the last bottle about 2 years ago. Irresistible but patience will be rewarded.

Delicious. Supple, smooth, chocolatey spicy earthy dark fruit with a hint of black licorice. Would have rated it higher if it had more bouquet in the glass. But this is really good.
